Would you buy a 1st year TLX or a second year?

I've got year 2 of the current gen, but year 1 of the MT, which required a new synchro kit earlier this year. If the TLX doesn't offer an MT, I will click on "I've given up on Acura".
If it is offered with MT the first year, and with a wider range of interior and exterior color selections than the current MT (similar to what was offered in 2010 when I got my MBM/Umber MT car), I would be very tempted to buy a first year, especially if the wheel bolt pattern, offset, and outer diameter of the wheel/tire is the same as the 4g (yes, I just bought a winter tire and wheel package for my car - finally wore down the all-season MXMs after 50,000 miles to be replaced with true summer tires next Spring).

I'm not in the market, but if I was, I would have no problem with a first year model. I have owned several first year Honda/Acura vehicles with no problems.

I think you are becoming the trend....I never thought I would e in this camp too but here I am....
The Acura of 2008 is now in the past.....Things have changed and recent implementations of the new models have had more problems than ever before. If you think the TLX will be as reliable or solid as previously released new Acura, I think you will have a surprise. I have been the BIGGEST fan and supporter of Acura, but I have lost faith. Unless they can find a way to re-earn my trust.

They changed up the styling big time from the prototype exterior and I saw spy shots of the production model interior and the dash looked like crap. When they announced that the TSX/TL will be merged into TLX, I already knew they were gonna downgrade the TLX to fit TSX wallets. I'm movin on up, Acura can move on down all they like without me. I'm still a MDX/RDX fan, so if my next vehicle is an SUV, I might stay in the family.

BTW... shouldn't you be looking at a MDX soon anyway?

While I normally would prefer a 2nd year model if I go for a TLX it would have to be 1st year because my final lease extension is up November 1. Otherwise I either buy my current car or go to a competitor.

Lol do you know something I don't?! Why should I be looking for an MDX soon? I'm window shopping on a daily basis online, but can't justify the cost of having 2 daily's.
Here are pics of the exterior, http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=1182281. I forget where I saw the interior spy shots, but I distinctly remember slanted, vertical air vents surrounding the dash display (I guess GPS?) and it was terrible.

I am just making assumptions that you may need a bigger cargo area for another assumption that you may need a baby carriage. Again... all assumptions based on nothing at all. I just like to make an ass out of myself every now and then.
