Wood center trim

Was browsing the pictures from in stock new inventory and came across this. The woodgrain is not listed as an option (accessory) on the Acura.com website. Anyone have this on their car..looks good IMO

I think it's standard on non-tech/ advanced models.

It's standard on the TL's without Tech Package.

When my wife and I started looking at the new TL's the first one we drove at the local dealer was the base model and it had this small touch of wood at the interior. We thought it looked pretty good and were disappointed that it did not come with anything but the base. I suppose you could get the pieces and retrofit them into the Tech/Advance models if you really wanted to.

See, I tend to disagree but again, I am aware its personal preference but I never liked a wood interior.

Looks identical to my interior What do they have instead of the wood grain in the tech/advanced TL's? I never really paid attention and just assumed they were the same.

I am not sure if the picture will show the difference (sort of like a brushed metal look) but hopefully it will help:

I have the wood trim in the TL tech as well as the wood shift knob. I just bought the wood look and had the dealer install it. I prefer the wood look. I think it makes the car look more eloquent.

I'd only like it with an umber interior that had the wood steering wheel and shift knob.

It really boils down to personal prefference. The would does add a luxuery look to the car where no wood is sportier looking!

I didn't realize the wood trim only came with the base! I like it...seems to add more "umpf" to the interior. And when you first sit down, it has a nice reflection to it (a sort of shine).

The wood looks best in a pure luxery sedan. The 4G shawd TL, is best without it to look more sporty.

It's really cheap! I thought I'd look for it, b/c I was curious about the price:

Reference: 014
Part: 77309-TK4-A01ZA
Color: (DARK CHESTNUT WOOD)
Price: $18.83

The price is too cheap to be genuine wood.

there are two pieces, the other one is:

008 - Pocket *Yr399l* (Wood) Color: (DARK CHESTNUT WOOD) - 48.62

They look nice though. I'm planning to buy the wood shift knob when the leather one wear out.

Yesterday, I just had my '11 TL Tech in for oil/filter/tire rotation and was given a '12 base TL as a loaner. It had the wood insert on the console. While I usually like the "wood" look, I did not care much for it on this car. Somehow, at least to me, it seemed out of place with the rest of the interior. As an aside, after driving this base car, it simply reinforced my decision that I'm glad I got the Tech. Frankly, the only thing I was impressed with, was the new six speed transmission.

I totally forgot about that piece (and I've got the base lol)! I'll probably also upgrade to the wood nob and wheel when the leather wears out. I've been applying the Acura Leather conditioner to try and keep them "new"

the wood steering wheel look good too:
http://acura.bernardiparts.com/Acura...7-TK4-210.aspx

but it's too expensive for a mod... It would take forever for the leather on my steering wheel to wear out

Totally agree regarding the trim. Either the whole interior needs the wood accents, or none at all. You can't mix and match. It looks completely out of place with the rest of the TL interior.
