I hope I don't get harangued for this. I for one am lookin to tune the TL SH-AWD when I get one.
Ideally thinking:
1. Exhaust + piping
2. Intake
3. New Grille
4. Bodykit + Lip
5. Rims
6. Window visors
So since no one has bought up the topic of exhuast looks.... For one, in my opinion it should be a true quad exhaust instead of the b/s fake quad tipped single exit exhaust acura used.
So please list the shape that you think is appropriate for the new tl's exhaust. Square, round or other suggestions? If possible show some pics of your likings.
Also, please list some suggestions of what you would do to your 4GTL's:

Cant show any pics because Im at work but I will say this, The AWD exhaust is strikingly similar to the ATLP. I think all it lacks is the resonator. But Thats my opinion. I think the exhaust should look sleek and only be noticeable when you PUNCH it. But its appearance should be subtle. Given the little cut-aways in the bumper, anything other than the FWD rectangle tip in that hole would look crazy to me.

additionally, I dont like the body kit add-ons. I think TL should stay out of the speed arena because there are too many stock cars that can eat it for lunch. Just watch youtube. This car is crossing over into the luxury sedan side and I think its too far gone to turn back and try to race. lol. Thats my two cents.

What tires (brand, model, size) did you decide to mount on those new rims?

Three Wheelin'
The tires are Yokohama "S-Drive's"......245/35/19's mounted on 19 X 8 rims. (I originally wanted the Michelin Pilot PS2's but those were not in stock and much more $$$......the Yoko's are cheaper and got similar reviews). I got the whole package (rims and tires) from an Acura parts dealer on Ebay. I saved over $1500 (compared to retail) on the whole package. Pics comin soon!

I was thinking in terms of having it look more luxurious looks with a body kit like the japanese Bippu Styles then the ones looking all like riced with mad carbon fiber looking for trouble lol. I'm way past that stage in life. It attracts too much attention when and gets you too many tickets.. In term of exhaust its just to give it a little better exhaust note. Exhaust wise the looks should be low profile so it wont attract much attention and it goes with the flow of the car. When people put exhuasts with Giant Fart cans on the back of the car thats just asking for it and its disgusting. No offense to the people that like that but its my take on it. Apart from this do you know the piping size for the tl and shawd. 2.25, 3.0, 3.5?

Sounds about right. 19" and 21" are some beasts you wanna avoid if possible but when faced with the other possibilities, its the next best thing.

I hear you. I wonder what the Magna-Flow would sound like. I would really like to see someone other than myself experiment with that. lol. You're right about the attention getting. The only body kit I would consider if any, would have one piece bumpers. the tacked on pieces that the dealer offers is just that, tacky.

it sounds pretty good but I'd imagine the tone to be alot deeper since the displacement of the engine has been upped 3.7L
