Painful to look at. I'd be more upset at the shop's negligence than the fact that my car was potentially totaled. Someone could have easily been killed. Won't be the last time this happens though...people are hasty.

Not really on topic, but not really off...
Reminds me of a case I had about 10 years ago; my client installed hoists, and was being sued because one failed. He knew it might, as he had tested the concrete, and where the shop wanted the hoist installed, the concrete was too soft or thin. But where my guy recommended didn't work for their shop plan. They told him to install in the "weak" spot, and a few months later, a minvan died. Fortunately, it was only a minivan.
