Where are the 4G TLs?

So i took my TL out to LV this weekend and I have to say, the gal performed very nicely out in the open road. MPG went from 20 miles to 24 miles. Plenty of power to overtake on the 2 lane highways. Up and down the hills near Hoover damn was a breeze. The cabin was comfy and the XM radio was a definitely plus.

However...I did not see one 4G TL out on the road to LV nor back. Come to think of it, i didn't see one in LV also. It's a nice feeling to know that the car is exclusive but I would have like to see at least one driver out there. (heck, i even saw a pack of A4's and Jetta's) Does the community feel that way sometimes? Kinda eerie also. Anyways, just thoughts.

i live in socal (626 area) so they're pretty common here. Elsewhere though, I see a lot less. I went to san diego recently and didn't see to many TLs.

I live in Vegas and it's rare that I ever see another TL on the road. It's to the point that when I do see one I actually get somewhat excited so I can see what the car looks like on the road. I do notice that I get a ton of stares when driving (good and bad I'm sure), but I also kind of like driving something a bit more unique.

Coming from a 328, I never had that problem, since everyone and their mother owns a 3 series.

I live in Vegas and might see 1-2 4g TL every week or two. I have yet to see another 12 on the road.

I see a bit of the 09-11 around Boston area, about a billion of the 3G's rolling around. Haven't seen a '12 yet outside of the dealerships.

I have only seen a handful around the Pittsburgh area... none in my area, and a few in the Akron/Canton area of Ohio. -- None of them have been modded - I have yet to see another 4G with the factory aero kit, or any OEM accessory wheel, or aftermarket.

My trip from San Diego to LV got me some nice gas millage for sure. As you said, lots of power once you leave Baker Ca. and start up that 35 mile grade with the sign that reads, Turn Off air conditioning to conserve power! That sign has been their for 30 years! I also see very few TL's in San Diego, and that is the way I like it... Also see very few "V" series Cadillac's on the road... But I DO LIKE IT that way!!!

I also like being able to find my car in the parking lot... and seeing as I always park in the back, it gives everyone else a nice view and something to look at as they enter and exit the shopping plaza as well

hmm, I didnt realize 4G TL offers such bad mpg... I'm driving a heavy 4K lbs M37x with better mpg.

NYC has too much of 4Gs they are now 2nd to Maximas I believe =]
I do miss my 08 TL-S very much, still very few on the road and nothing is sexier ;(

I understand not seeing the '12s but it would have been a nice to see some 09-11 4G's, mod or stock. looks like we're just all a part of an exclusive club. :-D

In NJ there a tons of 4G TL's. I see at least 4-5 every day going to work. They are so common that someone I know didn't buy one because he said they were too common. Now 2012's I've only seen 4 so far.

In ATL, the 3G's are everywhere but 4G's are scarce. Even more scarce are the SH ones or any that have the front and rear beaks painted or any mods.

In 818 area code I've seen quite a few. No 2012's yet. It stands to reason the TL would do well in LA sales wise but not in a place like Topeka (with all due respect). The LA market more readily embraces cars like the TL over a Genesis sedan. Few people in LA would choose a Mercedes wannabe. In order of numbers I see in LA:

Lexus 250
BMW
Mercedes
Prius
Infiniti and Acura about tied
Lexus GS model

In addition to the over aggressive styling of the 4G TL ... the economy sucks too. As long as you can afford and love your TL ... that's all that matters. For everyone else there are the A4s and the Jettas. The TL is priceless.

I've seen more and more 4G 09-11 in the DC area. Still a ton of 3Gs. I've only seen two 4G 12 in the wild.

Not sure what you are talking about - the CAFE rating or what? My 2012 SH-AWD is rated at 26 on the highway and I've already seen 28.5 on a 25 mile trip into town, and that included a few miles of some stop and go.

I am in Omaha NE and find it rare to see a 4G. Have yet to see a 2012 on the road. The 3G are a bit more common, and what’s funny is the 2G is the one I see the most. Many of the 2G still appear to be in great shape. As far as MPG, I have a 2011 base, and on a 200 mile hwy trip I took a couple weeks ago, the MPG monitor got up to 29, and that was with 120 miles of city driving at the beginning of the tank (trip is reset after each tank fill).

I live in South East Texas. While I see a few 4G's from time to time, they are not many of them. One of the reasons I like to TL is because they are not on every street corner. I like owning something that is less common. Plus, the TL is a nice overall car to drive.

I'm seeing more and more in Kansas City, but I'm still waiting to see the new 2012 on the streets.

I usually see a few 4Gs everday. They drive past my office window. There is myself and one other fellow in my company parking lot who have 4Gs. Another one parked a few blocks away.

Was in Chicago last week and saw at least 4 - 5 TL SH-AWD's. Didn't catch any of the FWD models though.

I love non-Acura owners, they will chime in with some BS about how their car is so much better than everyone elses.
EPA numbers on the M37x are 17city 24hwy. So, shut the fuck up.

I see one a month and it's about 50/50-AWD/FWD. I live in the land of MDX with so many in my neighborhood that I'm the outsider with TL&RDX.

There's a TON of 4Gs here in Toronto. However, I was surprised to see 2 TLs when I drove down to Pittsburgh 2 weekends ago. One had an NY plate and the other was PA.
