What Part is This?

Sorry I don't have a pic at the moment, but what the hell is the small black box clipped to the bracket located between the throttle body and fuse box? It has a single hose going to it and an open port adjacent to it.

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to speed around the city, keeping its speed over fifty. And if its speed dropped, the bus would explode! I think it was called... "The bus that couldn't slow down."
