Acura of Escondido only had 1 09 TL in WDP. It had aftermarket rims on it and I have to say .. I love it's stance / overall presence.

I don't think the front grill is as bad as I thought it was going to be .. but don't get me wrong .. I think they could have done better. I think this car has a huge potential once the aftermarket grill comes out.

I took some pictures and got to sit in it .. I must say the interior feels just like my 3G (As far as quality, hard plastics and it was already creaking just pushing on the trim / panels).

Overall, the car looks amazing in person .. I look forward to seeing it on the road.

looks HUGE. i just wish the headlights lined up with the grill... maybe they should have made the healights larger to fit the proportions. I like the overall size but its still going to take me some time for the TL to grow on me.

I saw my first 09 TL in person today at the dealership. I think the exterior is terrible looking. Interior is very very nice.

My goodness, they have those super shiny chrome rims on all of the cars (TSX, TL and RL)? I must say that I am not a fan of chrome wheels (too obvious and very bling-bling!) and they do look a bit out of place with the Acura sedans...

I agree. When I lived out in LA a couple years ago, if you didn't have chrome wheels on your car, something was wrong with you. I'm just not into that gangsta/pimp look. I love the current wheels on the Type S....I wish they had something like that standard on the '09's. I agree with most posters out there who dislike the 17" wheels on the base '09's. They look cheap and ugly. If I had the money, I would swap mine out and get something nicer. But since I'm leasing mine, it'll probably be a waste.

The chrome aftermarket wheels help alittle. But I agree with ChrisQ.

Wow. Its amazing what a slightly larger set of rims will do for a car. The TSX, TL and RL in the photos have a much more commanding presence with those larger rims, even though I'm not a fan of the design of all of them. Thats one of the things I dislike most about my wifes TSX are the 17inch stock rims.

the TL actually does look pretty good with chromes... just add a drop, 5%tint all around, remove front plate, new grill then the new TL would be BLING BLING haha

I would definitely pass on the body side moulding. It looks worse than it does on the 3g.

I'll be taking my car to AofE for a little warranty work (passenger seat trim coming apart) so maybe I'll get to see this TL. Looks like they added all types of stuff on that car- even the body side molding! I guess they forgot the bra which would mitigate the nose a little more. What was the sticker price on this one?

I don't mind the chrome, but it looks like they took the "sport" out of the TL...looks 'overweight'

I like the chrome look and the wheels on the TL and RL fit the cars well. For me living in NJ, too many potholes and winters to spend mad $$ and have chrome wheels all chipped.

If I was in SoCal, I'd probably get a set.

I too stopped by a local dealership on the way home from work today to see the new 2009. I saw a black TL with the Tech Package. The interior is different, but felt alittle "cold" sitting in the drivers seat. It just didn't have the rich feel of the 3G TL's. The sales person said that you can wirelessly play music from your mobile phone and also store it on the car's hard drive. She also told me there is a place for your laptop to plug into the car via the center console. But, she also explained that it was a single disc player, but you could also store music onto the car's hard drive. It was OK, but I still didn't really care for the exterior.

Honestly, if they had made the nose look just like the TSX, everyone would not be complaining about it.

The Acura tech told me they will be receiving more 4G TLs on Wednesday. Hopefully some NBP .

I need to see it in person still but the car just looks enormous.. very chubby. The rear looks nice with it but the front sits very tall and fat. I really like how the 3G TL is more narrow and a tad smaller. Nobody is complaining about the 4G interior; it looks very nice indeed. However, I still feel the 3G exterior will be the nicest. I could be biased.. don't know. That is just how I feel right now.
