Maybe you guys who want a new 2009 should camp out at your Acura dealership-waiting for the new TL to arrive. Hey, you'll be the first to get one !!!!

The 3G TL has been "outdated" since '06, when Lexus released the IS 350, Infiniti changed the G35, new 3 Series, etc. You'll never be happy if you look at it in that regard; the market is too damn fierce. I think the 3G TL is aging gracefully though.

Woot!! Ready to start the new generation of modding.

I hope that god awful grill doesn't look as bad on the TL as it does on the TSX. I have to say the MDX looks good with that grill though.

Dude...you know it's going to. Look-the RL has it, the TSX has it too. Heck, most of the new Honda's have a modified version of it. See the consistent theme????

I worry less about the grill and more about the back end (but that just depends on the type of woman, er I mean car you like. But no seriously the 08 accord coup looks terrible from the back (opinion) and they better not have put the TL on that type of crash course. After all what will the people behind you have to look at, besides your dust of course.

i'm worried about whether it's motivated by the front wheels or all of them. if it's NOT all of them, acura has a death wish.

for it to be successful to the ENTHUSIAST, the 4G needs to be AT LEAST:

330+ hp/tq
manual transmission
AWD
rattle-free
less than 40K
visually stunning and proportionate

for it to be successful to the NON-ENTHUSIAST, the 4G needs to be AT LEAST:

300+ hp/tq
AWD
rattle-free
less than 40K
visually attractive, at least proportionate

the latest Accord and the 2G TSX have grown on me, the initial problem with them were proportions. especially the wheel size to body ratio. the 4G TL needs to look great FROM THE GET-GO.

if not, continue to watch acura's sales divebomb.

Not exactly, cuz right now im driving the latest generation TL I don't care about the competition, but the feeling is different the moment I see a 4G TL on the street.

However this car WILL keep me happy for years to come heres my list why

-Projector HID Lights -LED Tails -Fantastic interior/exterior design -standard seat heaters -5.1 sound system (not many dvd-a's but damn it sounds great!) -sport shift for auto -good enough power/mpg -blue theme lighting -adding oem nav will be good too but i'm still happy w/o it.

I think if the relationship from the current RL to current TL remains, The coming RL looks pretty good, then the TL should be similar to that but a bit smaller and meaner looking. I could grow to love it. (i think)

I agree about the 4 wheel motivation entirely. 330 is overly optimistic I doubt they will go that far but I would have no complaints.

Even though I had only few rattles when I had my 2004 TL, many others have had them. Speaking of which....whoever has my old TL....I hope you're taking care of her!

Anyhoo, rattle-free will be a requirement and I agree on that.

AWD and 300 HP were why I moved to the RL when the 3G TL's MMC didn't have them. Hopefully Acura has wised up.

I will be SURE to test-drive the 4G TL immediately upon release.....unless it's fugly. Then I just won't care.
