Using USB thumb drives in Acura's.. Are some USB's faster then others?
In a base tl or tsx when you plug in my USB thumb drive (pNY) it has a lot of lag when spinning the wheel , it seems like I spin and have to wait a second or two before it catches up.. When I was reading the thread on replacing the HD someone posted a link to a high speed USB.. I am not really tech savvy and have no clue on these thumb drives and there different speeds.. If I buy a faster , better one will it not have the lag time I have now?
I love using the thumb drive cuz when I used my iPod it was in the heat and cold and broke and the thumb drive is a cheap alternative to a new iPod but had the lag... I though all thumb drives where created equal but I think I am wrong, can anyone give me more input or let me know what thumb drive I need to buy to not have any lag time.. Or is the Acura system capped to a certain speed... Help...

Yes there are different speeds of USB drives. It could also be that you have too many files in the folder, try braking it up into sub folders.. It could be that your MP3's are encoded at too high a rate, I've noticed that some of my files are slower to respond on the same disc.
The only difference among USB flash drives is storage capacity, transfer speed (determined by the type of USB Connectivity - USB 1.1 or USB 2.0)
