stock HID's are already HID so no need to connect to battery for power. DRL is not HID and you're converting it to HID

Straight to the battery is the way to go for supply, this will remove the DRL function and you will have HID High Beams - no problem.

I imagine that's what they did when they installed them for me. I do get a warning light saying to check the DRL's and this warning goes away once the lights are turned on.
