Train fluid vs shift. quality

Ive noticed that the shift quality of my car is much better when its cold... Cold fluid being thicker would seem to be the cause.
I'm wondering if anyone else has made the same observation and if maybe adding one or two pints of a different fluid might improve warm shifts.

Thanks

Do not add anything but the correct Acura fluid to your auto transmission (transaxle). You are asking for trouble if you add anything that is advertised to fix transmission "problems". It will do the opposite. In the engine, use any quality oil you like, but do not mess around with the transmission fluid (other than to change it regularly).

Like Jim C mentioned, use only the Acura recommended transmission fluid. They are using a synthetic fluid, the Tl transmission is not silky smooth to begin with.

Just so that you are aware, there is another update available for the 4G,people who have had the first update and still complained about the suspected shudder can have the car reflashed with the updated software. Check with your dealer.

Can u explain further what u mean by shift quality? Do u mean smoother or shifts faster? However like the others have said DO NOT add any tranny fluid other than the recommended Acura fluid.

I have an Awd, I don't think that the Fwd had the shudder issue.
