Traded In 2012 TL SH-AWD Advance
After many years with Acura.. 1996 Integra, 2009 TSX and 2012 TL SH-AWD i Jumped to Lexus, i bought a new 2013 GS350 F Sport Starfire Pearl with Black Interior. I love the Lexus the interior is beautiful, the navigation is a bit tricky but im getting the hang of it. I do miss my TL. i need an Exhaust on the GS asap. i loved my XLR8 exhaust i had on my TL its the only thing i have left of it.

He was probably over on the integra tsx side just reading stuff. And even if it was a lexus marketer, most if us are here because we realized the most bang for our buck was the TL. The TL is probably the only full sized luxury sports sedan this well equipped and built in the price range. He does his job as a marketer, we do our job as consumers.

Not as mush as i expected only $3100. i got a good deal on the GS so it made it worth it for me. Thanks to everyone that congratulated me. Ive been a lurker for some time thats how i found the exhaust and SRI But i had never posted.
Ill post it later this week on the black-market. i ended up leaving the SRI on When i did the trade i didn't have enough time time to remove it.

I now own a 2014 IS350 Fsport. A really wonderful machine. Now that I've had the LFA gauges I couldn't go back to the old speed/tach setup. That said, with both the IS and the Q50 out -- I'm much clearer on what a great value the TL is. I hope the TLX hits it out of the park and that they do a better job than Infiniti with the launch.
BTW, the IS350 does one thing really well -- deliver a creamy ride on the commute -- and dial up to Sports + for the twisties. It's mind blowing how well the car handles.
That 2013 GS is considerably more than a TL -- even after all of the discounts I'm sure he got.

*EDIT*
Oh, and CONGRATS on the new ride. Those new GS's are NICE...we love our TL, but owning an Infiniti M45 Sport previously, it does seem a little "stripped down" compared.
looks like he's in California though...Longo and Weir Canyon are local dealers here in So. Cal. (Longo might be in other places, but I remember Weir Canyon when we were looking to buy).
so, SHIPPING...you won't get it when you need it buddy.

I owned a lexus gs 350 and It got rear ended this winter. So i bought tl
BUT gs 350 was the best car I ever owned. It will last you half a million kilometers
If you keep up the maintenance. They are very robust cars with silky smooth powertrains

I own a TBP 12 TL SHawd Adv lowered on staggered concave 20"s which is my 4th Acura. Last week I was at the Lexus dealer looking at the IS350 F Sport awd. I like that car a lot because it reminds me of my 05 TSX and the performance/handling is on point. The interior is a little cramped and it has that annoying hump on the drivers side floor to compensate for the transfer case but overall its a nice car. So after some hours Im on a Lexus "high" that almost got my vote until they showed some numbers I did not approve. I had just forgot all about my lonely TL in the back lot . When I decided I had enough I walked out to my TL and I said look at this "sexy beast" what was I thinking about! So sometimes we get all caught up in the newest this / that and we forget what we have at home. Im all in for Acura and If the new TLX isn't hot I may reconsider Lexus.

I too thought the IS was like the TSX but with better styling, air cooled seats, and AWD. I was wrong. The IS' interior is more than cramped, its annoying and bothersome and poor functional design.
I thought Lexus would have learned its lesson with the new IS; nope, same old story, dam hump is still there.
IMHO, don't discount that stupid hump. If you noticed it during the test drive, that hump will get to you.

Don't do it! I also had 05 TSX that I regret trading in. A few years ago I actually had traded in the TSX for the IS250AWD that also had that annoying hump; it didn't bother me at first and during the test drive.... but the IS lasted me a whole 4,000 miles b/c that hump got to my right leg so bad it was causing me right leg cramps and right lower back and hip pain. So I took a financial bath and traded in the IS for the TL I'm have now.

Congrats! I have a 2013 TL SH-AWD, which I really love. However, the GS350 (I have no interest in the ES and IS) would have been my next step up, had I not chosen the Acura, so it seems that we TL owners are definitely the target audiences for these two cars.
Very nice choice!!!

My parents just bought the GS. It's a wonderful car, sleek both in and out.
I still enjoy my TL better, mostly because I can row my own. In terms of value, their car costs more than 12K than how much I paid for my TL, so it made me appreciate it a little more. I still like the ride on the TL better - more sporty, even with the GS in Sport mode. However, for my parents who are retired, they love the luxurious ride in the GS.
The navigation and interior on the Lexus may look better but that stupid control thingy was pissing me off the last time I was trying to use it. I tried adjusting the settings but it was too finicky and sensitive.
All in all, congrats on the car. Enjoy it, and hope that a TLX is good enough for you to make the switch back in the future .
Side note: I love this board, most people are very nice to people posting about competitor cars. Try posting you got a TL from a GS in a Lexus board and gauge the reactions... LOL
