I got invited to see the new 2009 acura TL 'launch' presentation in toronto. I will be getting my invite this week or next. I believe its a very very selected few and I guess since I'm buying 2 cars from my sales rep and not deciding either to get a 2008 or 2009, he told me to wait till the 'launch' presentation. I believe he said it was downtown Toronto. I already have 2 2006 TL for my business.

The "launch" is October 1st ...... you will be receiving an invitation in the mail this week or next

The TL launch should be quite the event on Oct 1 and then we will have them in our showroom the following week

 

I got mine as well, but as I told the GM at my dealership give it to some one else, as I have no interest in seeing this thing, as my short list to replace my 05 TL no longer includes Acura..

 

Is the launch in Canada before or after the US. I was at my local Acura dealer today for the safety recall on the PS hose and they said they would be getting the '09 TL in the next week to week and half. ARe they smoking something

 

Not sure when the US one is...but i would think its usually before Canada would introduce. But can't wait to see it in person...I really liked the pic of it in Black in the other thread. Maybe a aerokit and tint might help it out

I believe the official US introduction is September 24th.

 

Has pricing been confirmed on the models yet (US or Canada)?

 

No pricing info yet, we'll probably know when the cars arrive.....

 

Got my invite for the Toronto event also and have already been confirmed for attendance. I saw the 2009 RL yesterday and quite liked the new look and the beak did not seem too extreme. Hopefully the TL will come off that way as well.

 

They say a picture worth a thousand words .... from all the photos I've seen here & other mags, I'm a bit turned off, to say the least, by the truck & beak ... will keep the type-s for a few more years till the new S comes out ....
