TL taillight mod?

It seems JnC has gone AWOL. Is there anyone on here who has had success taking the taillights apart?

Why AWOL? Have you tried calling him?

(508)360-8320

He's still listed in our vendor directory.

Bruce also does them: https://acurazine.com/forums/members/acktl05-269877/

Nah, not going to close it. Let us know if you get a hold of him by phone. When he did my headlights (3G), that was the way I got a hold of him (by text messaging).

I've done the red tint but Im talking about what JnC has done to open them up and paint them. They end up looking like a new version of the 3G type S tails

I contacted Bruce to do the taillights and might end up doing the headlights with JnC. He responded to my PM's. Thanks for the help

nice pics, Bruce does good work

For anyone that is wondering the lights need to be cut open with a dremel. They do not just come apart like our headlights do. I was going to attempt this a few months back but I got busy with some other things. Everyone that does this seems to be tight lipped about where they are cutting. When I do mine Ill take some pics and post a DIY thread.

This is kind of related but still not really...I'm having Z Led's take a look at my tails and hopefully do a custom LED conversion that makes them look clear/black/gunmetal when they are off, but light up LED Red! More info when we get more into it!!

That sounds sweet and something I might be interested in. Please post pictures if you decide to get this done.
