is it me or does the ilx have a better ride than the TL? took my car for service and the dealership gave me an ilx as a loaner and i.must say that the ride felt smoother which is weird cause the tl is supposed to have a better ride imo being a family sedan. the ilx has less road noise as well. i have a fwd tl which supposedly has a smoother ride compared to the shawd. your thoughts?

Depends on what year your TL is. I didn't buy a TL in 2011 because it was too loud, especially the road noise. The 2012 model really improved that and I'm totally happy with the ride and quietness of my 2013 FWD TL...and that's coming from my previous car which was a Toyota Avalon.
If the ILX is quieter than the new TL then that would be impressive. I see them driving around and I think they're nice looking cars.

The TL is not a plain-O family sedan, the Honda Accord is.

The TL is a SPORT sedan, and thus the FIRMER ride quality than either the ILX or the Accord.

Other than weight the other big difference is the fact that the ILX has Hondas new amplitude reactive dampers.
