TL Incentives

So how long do you think it will take before Honda opens up some incentives on TL's in terms of cash back or financing? (Similar to current RDX and MDX incentives). I am eager to buy a TL, but would like for them to pick up some of the tab if I get a loan.

I have been keeping an eye on my local dealer's inventory and they have gone from having 20 cars to 43 in stock in just 3 weeks. I am sure it is the same situation in many other dealerships around the country. Acura/Honda can't allow them to keep building up a backlog sitting on the dealership lots.

On a side note....it is interesting that something that a dealership puts online to you what cars they have in stock to help the consumer find the right car can also be used to negotiate with because it is easy to tell that they haven't sold any cars because the put an unique identifier beside each of their cars in stock. Just print out the sheet every week and compare......

I have been talking to my dealer and Novemebr is usally a weak month anyway and December is usually stornger. My guess is they will see haw December starts and maybe finishes, if economy and car sales are still in the tank we might see some incentive early in new year, they really need to purge 08 inventory first a few dealers still have a few 08's. As much as I don't like the styling I might suffer through it if they had liek $3K off and I could get a SH for close to invoice + an incentive... I know wishful dreaming... but then they are down to $500 over invocie on a 09 TL Tech for me.

Could be, also could be becasue they have a lot full of $Gs right now too, I think a savy shopper could get close to Invoice now if they stand their ground, go into dealership and look around not many shoppers lately. Also it helps in ATL that there are 4 Acura dealers on the North side of town within 15 minutes of each other!

If a dealer would give me full value for the car, pay off my loan and give me invoice, then I would consider it.

I have excellent credit and the cash to get a new car, I just dont see it as a rational thing to do nowadays nor is it financially responsible to do so given that I have a perfectly sound car

I think now that they have offered 0.9% on everything but the 2009 TL (like 4 hours after I started this thread), it will only be another month before that is offered on the 4G.

Maybe they are just waiting to clear out the old models.
