TL front grille

Hi my TL peeps,

I decided before that my 09 TL is no longer my commuter for my new job, I was thinking to sell it.
Due to some more recent changes, I decide to keep my car again.

As I was looking at my car and looking at other threads on acurazine, I want the RonJon Grille badly, due to they are being discontinued and extremely rare for used one, I decided to look for other option.

This is what I can find for a different grille.

Acura TL 09 10 11 2009 2010 2011 Front Hood Bumper Sport Mesh Grill Grille | eBay

I'm not sure what I think about it. Its not bad cuz its not a shield, but it's really nothing special.

What do you guys think? Yes or No?
if not, any other option?

What do you guys think

But is there another option other than that or the discontinued RonJon?

Honestly that grill does not do it for me, sounds like you are on the fence yourself. Before moving foreword check the photograph gallery, lots of interesting ideas.
If all else fails just paint it, mellows out the beak.

Not a fan of any of those grilles. I love the RJ but it seems to come with a lot of fitment issues and at that price point it should be as close to a perfect fit as possible.

I recommend you just get it painted. **mod edit**

I agree. Paint the factory grill. It'll help clean up the car. Would probably do the back trunk piece as well if you're deleting the silver.

I would stay far away from that grille. First off it is fiberglass. it comes warped and wobly. it doesn't fit right at all and then you have to drill all the mounting points.. Save your money. I made one with with a combination style grille that I did but it needed tons of work! It is super thin and I needed to fiberglass the back for support!

Paint the beak if you can't get the RJ one.

I would go with painting the grill too. That first one you posted doesn't really do it for me either. But again, your car. If you love it, go with it.

sorry everyone

First off, I am new to this site. I registered today.

Not a fan of messing around too much from original exterior designs on any car, so paint the factory grill if you can.

Second, and any help here is appreciated...while I can respond to a post on Acurazine (like I am doing here), I have no idea how to create my own post. I have a specific question and would like to post it out to the knowledgable readers of this site. Is there a button, or a place I need to navigate to on this site to create a post? Thanks so much in advance.

My shop said the same thing. They were concerned that the paint will not stick. I told them to shut up and just do it and it come out fine. It's been little bit over 3 months and so far so good.

yep - same experiences with higher end body shops I spoke to. They would not do it due to the material/finish. They were concerned about paint not sticking/flaking off.

I had my grill painted at the dealership as i had them include it when i bought the car... It flaked along the top where there is a sharp edge... I then took it to my preferred body shop guy, and he was able to redo that top section, blend it in perfectly and its been perfect... The dealership also installed clear bra on it, but the clear bra didn't extend over that top edge, it stopped short of it. Bodyshop guy was able to redo without removing the clear bra on the rest of it.. worked out great..

You do have to properly prep it to get the paint to stick as its a plastic piece
