Which Tint?

I got quote for $300 dollars for a Llumar ATC tint or $400 for F1 Pinnacle Ceramic.

Are these prices reasonable? They include the lifetime warranty? What are the differences?

Not sure where you are located but in Toronto i paid $360 for the Pinnacle F1 ceramic tint and i does include a lifetime replacement warranty. Some people told me that it was too expensive but i have no regrets.

My son did the Llumar on his Maxima but to me it is not comparable to the quality of the Pinnacle F1.

Do you have a thread with pics of yours. I wish I could see the difference. Apparently it is a higher quality tint from what people say

I recently paid $160 for Llumar (not sure of the specific one) and that included removing my old tint. It also has a lifetime warranty.

I have never paid more than $200 for a tint job and have never had any issues with the quality of the work / tint. Granted I live in FL so there may be more competition here and thus lower prices.

Im in NY. The cheapest I found with a lifetime guarantee is $260 but he didnt specify what film he used. There are places in the sketchy neighborhoods that do tint jobs for 80-120 bucks but really don't trust their quality of work

Yours is30%? Looks awesome and thats definitely what Id want to go for but in NY they give people alot of problems? Do you think 50% of that tint would be super light? I have the black interior so I feel at night would be pretty dark just in the daytime not really much so

I feel 50% would be very light, however if you will get hasseled over 30% you will want to go lighter. So far i have never been stopped but i could just be lucky so far.
I was skeptical about tinting but honestly have to say that my tint is not dark at all and the clarity at night is outstanding, btw my car has black interior as well.
Good luck.

Talked to a friend who had 35% and he only would get pulled over because his car was loud when hed get the tint tickets as well. Looks like im going to go with the 35%

Anybody have any insight on this "dot matrix" thing google keeps mentioning under tinting advice

Dot matrix is the small raised black circles at the top of the rear windshield,if the installer is patient and a pro at what he is doing he can minimize the problem,if not properly done the adhesive will not adhere to the glass in that area and lead to premature peeling in the future.
You may see some tiny air pockets in that area but it should disappear after a while when the moisture dries out.

Usually loud cars and erratic driving will get you pulled over lol

GD these stories really piss me off. There are so many more important things that LEO's could be focused on rather than pulling someone over for the sound their vehicle emits, or the type of tint in the windows. I have had the "excessive engine noise" ticket. What a joke.
Just a reason to pull you over and make some money.

His tints you can still see everything through and the car came tinted so its not like he put them. But because his car is loud they just throw the tint tickets...Its crazy. Im not as worried though because I feel if your car is all stock besides tints and maybe minor cosmetic things they arent going to be pulling you over just for a 35% tint...or so i hope..
