Timing belt

It's that time again. Does anyone know a good location to get this done? I've called couple Honda dealers and got quoted for $1800. I'm in Philly area. Thanks.

Does that include the water pump too? If so, that appears to be about the going rate these days, though maybe a tad high.

Yes, it's included. Everything jumped in price. Seems like a lot of people doing the Asin kit from rockauto these days.

I just go to a local indie place. If you use the aftermarket parts kit it's like $200-$250 (plus the shops parts markup if you buy through them to get a warranty) plus whatever their hourly rate ($90-$190 depending on the shop, x5 hours iirc) is.

AFAIK, the timing belt job on the Acura V6 is a lot of work/hours, but it's not "weird" in a way specific to Honda/Acura, so you probably can shop around and don't need a Honda specialist.

If you insist on OEM parts, they will probably order/buy it from the local Honda/Acura dealership, and charge you pretty close to that same $1800. (The name brand parts are like $1k+ iirc.) Shops out in the sticks tend to have lower rent/overhead and may have lower hourly rates.
