Throttle/Pedal Position %

I had a BAFX OBDII box hooked up to my 2011 TL yesterday evening (using the real time feature of the Torque app) and noticed the throttle % varied from 14% with the pedal in the resting position up to 80% with it floored (engine was off during the test). I'm no expert, but this doesn't seem correct. From what I've read, it should be no more than 5% at idle and near 100% when floored.

???

A buddy of mine at work had one so I figured I would give it a try and this is something I noticed that didn't make sense to me. I suppose it could be correct.

I'll just pour a can of Seafoam in the engine and that should fix it. Lol

There are multiple throttle position sensors. You'll have to go through them all to see which one most accurately represents the foot pedal actuation.

If I remember correctly, in Torque there's "throttle position", "throttle position (absolute)", and "throttle position E". I'm not really sure what they are all for.

I'm guessing percentage with respect to zero, percentage with respect to idle position (i.e. idle = 0%), and throttle voltage, respectively.

Correction, absolute would likely mean the actual position with respect to fully closed and fully open, which is the default gauge I am viewing.
