The TL is rated as having very good reliability, so there is no proof to support Manual's assertion. The Accord and Camry are two additional reliable cars manufactured in the US. Even most of the Ford fleet currently has good reliability.

The only I could see to prove it is to find two cars that are manufactured in two places and compare. With the Accord which is made in NA and at one time (is it still?)was also made in Japan for export to the US. Same car but different plants and from what I recall.... they were the same.

The Camry is made in Japan and the US.

In my own observations at work, we use the exact same standards for the vehicle as the vehicles built in Japan. Simple as that.

Colin you were right, I was asking for proof of what MT was saying and he has not provided any. Being that I am a automotive engineer, I do know how to read a VIN number.
