Suggestions for street brakes and Coilovers

Last year I traded my 2004 TSX that brembo blanks with hawk hps pads and Megan coilovers 32 way adjustables. The car handled and stopped great. I have 2011 Tl sh awd, the car handling is unbelievable for the weight of the car, the stopping is brutal the rotors heat up and than warp causing the steerin wheel to shake. Any suggestions for brakes and coilovers.

Well I was consider upgrading the brakes in my 2013 SHAWD TL in the future - So far EBC USR rotors looked good however I gotten mixed feedback from user in various forums. So I figure I would just got with Centric sloted when I do it,
Anyways heres a short list for 2013 TL SHAWD

Centric (Stoptech rotors)
126.40075SL 126.40075SR = Front Brakes L /R slotted rotors
126.40074SL 126.40074SR = Rear Brakes L /R slotted rotors
Brake Pads:
Hawk LTS
Front Brake PadsPart#: HB678Y.709 Rear Brake PadsPart#: HB679Y.600
Hawk Performance Ceramic
Front Brake PadsPart#: HB678Z.709Rear Brake Pads Part#: HB679Z.600
Akebono
Front Brakes Pads
ProAct Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad ACT1102
Performance Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad ASP1102
Rear Brake Pads
ProAct Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad ACT1103 (No ASP for rears)
Raybestos
Front Brake Pads
Advanced Technology; Ceramic; OE Pad Material is Ceramic; Front ATD1102C
Rear Brake Pads
Advanced Technology; Ceramic; OE Pad Material is Ceramic; Rear ATD1103C
Disc Brake Rotor
Advanced Technology; Front; 2 Per Car 980738
Disc Brake Rotor
Advanced Technology; Rear; 2 Per Car 980739
Power Stop
Front Brake Pads Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Pads, Front Z23-1102
Rear Brake Pads Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Pads, Rear Z23-1103

Front Brake PadsPower Stop Z36 Truck and Tow Brake Pad, Front Z36-1102
Rear Brake Pads Power Stop Z36 Truck and Tow Brake Pad, Rear Z36-1103

Brake Rotors
Power Stop Evolution TRU-CAST TECHNOLOGY DRILLED & SLOTTED PERFORMANCE ROTORS
Front : JBR1383XPR
Rear : JBR1382XPR

EBC
Front Brake Pads
EBC redstuff, Front DP31753C
EBC greenstuff, Front DP21753
Rear Brake Pads
EBC redstuff, Rear DP31754C
EBC greenstuff, Rear DP21754

Brake Rotors
EBC USR/BSD rotor, front
Front : 7522 (USR or BSD rotor (front only))
EBC USR rotor, rear
Rear : 7523

Long time ago I liked the look of EBC USR rotors and again mixed reviews One guy like them the other said it chewed his brake pads like nothing. Now they have BSD rotor that honest looks awesome however they only have those for the front brakes.
So at the moment I am leaning toward Centric Slotted rotors and Hawk Performance Ceramic or Akebono ( which have been very solid on my other cars) or Powerstop z23 or z36.
The Hawk Performance Ceramic and LTS, and Powerstop Z23 and Z36 are Performance then Light Truck version respectively. So Hawks LTS and Powerstop Z36 are the light truck/towing version that are made for the TL.

Racingbrake, PERIOD! Multiple 120-60 stops at a friend's place with miles of private paved surface and no warping in multiple ACURA's! I did boil the DOT3 brake fluid and switched over to DOT4 that week the first time in the 3G TL!

I have their rotors on my MDX and 3G TL. Both have over 100K on the rotors and are still barely worn! 3G TL has gone through 2 Sets of A-spec Acura Pads and now I put on a pair of Racing Brake ET300's on the rears. The MDX uses factory brake pads and had maybe a 1-2 foot improvement in stopping power from 60MPH. Plan on going with Racingbrake ET500 or carbotech pads for the MDX.

Have the RacingBrake Rotors on hold for the 4G TL until it's time for new pads but my rotors are warped. Probably going to put on the ET500 Pads from Racingbrake to complement the rotors as the ET300 is very nice for the 3G TL, but I want something more aggressive for the 4G TL. It's a bit expensive at $300 for a pair but worth it. I don't plan on buying rotors for another 150K miles for the 4G TL, just pads!

Here's the link to the rotors from heeltoe:
https://www.heeltoeauto.com/rb-perfo...ua9-99121.html

be sure to use the acurazine discount if you purchase these!

I will say DO NOT GET SLOTTED REAR ROTORS! They will eat your pads much faster than slotted fronts rotors due to being a smaller diameter! I would recommend slotted to everyone for front rotors. The extra bite they provide is great and they allow a place for water to go during braking in wet conditions! Cross-drilled do nothing for street applications, they help reduce weight but allow the rotor to heat and cool slightly faster which is critical in racing applications along with parasitic power loss from extra weight on the rotor.. Cheap rotors that are drilled will crack near the holes, the disks need to be cast/made with the holes and then refined. Also cheaper disks will not be balanced and can cause vibrations! Most quality brands do balance rotors and it's easy to see where the rotors have been cut on the inside hub.

I looked at those rotors several years ago and they look like GREAT rotors. The rotor part number at heeltoe (99121) are (per the RacingBrake website) for the Honda Ridgeline which are slightly different than the 4G TL. Did you have any fit-up or operational issues when you installed these rotors?

These look sweet and a variety of car enthusiasts have provided excellent reviews on their rotors. What would you recommend for the rear rotors? Maybe Stoptech blanks?

Haven't bought them yet, I'm going to send an email to him and ask!

Stoptech makes good stuff, I wouldn't worry too much about the rear brakes as they do 30% of the braking unlike the fronts.
