Stupid Rock Broke light......

A rock smoked my turn signal above the fog light. Shatered the lens and bulb.

Went to the dealer, $120 for the light assemble, and $75 for labour. Total with taxes About $220.00 canadian.

Sucks, but what can ya do. I have a pic, but don't know how to post it.

Ouch, where was this?

To post a pic, you need to register on a hosting site like photobucket or flickr.

Must have been on the highway. I'm suprised i didn't hear it, have no idea when it happened. I have been blasting some nice reggae tunes lately....so probably didn't hear it over the music

Thanks for the tip on how to post pics.

Ya that sucks. Have replaced many a Fog light in the past. I have always replaced them myself as well and just bought the assembly. Have not had the pleasure yet on the TL.
What I did do with this car was buy the Lamin-X protective film and applied it to the front fogs and turn signals. Not sure if it will help as it sounds like a hell of a rock hit yours especially because it broke the bulb as well.

lamin-x only helps protect from chipping, but if a large enough rock or object hits it, even lamin-x cant protect it from cracking.. i might still hold the crack together but it will still be broken..

been there done that with fog lights.. had lamin-x on fogs and rock still cracked it.. it stayed intact tho but still broken
