Strictly Curious
There is no point to these question other than sheer curiosity. Just curious to know how you all roll with your rear seats. Center armrest up or down?, rear head rests up or down?, seat belts fastened or unfastened?
Funny this was just posted today. Yesterday I had 3 in the back for the first time and someone had to sit in the center. I realized how useless the center seat is. Arm rest had been up. Now I think I will leave it down. Head rests are down as typically the back consists of kids. Seat belts unfastened (except when someone is in the back
).

I think the hump is OK for kids. I don't think they'd mind sitting on it and it's not that uncomfortable. Not so for an average size adult. The head was almost hitting the roof of the car. I think that's more the issue. For me, it's not that big of a deal. Most of the time it will be kids in the back seat (typically 2). On the occasions with adults, it will probably be 2 at most. It will probably be a rare occurrence with 3 full-size adults in the back. It just so happened that the rare occurrence happened for the first time yesterday.

I think you mean face down, ass up
Headrests down, armrest up, seatbelts unfastened (well one at least). I have my daughter's car seat base behind the passenger seat and she's the only one that ever sits back there. Unless she's being fussy then mommy joins her
I will say the hump in the middle is great for younger kids. It's kind of like a built in booster seat...helps them see out of the windows.

A bit late but armrest up, headrest down and seats belts unbuckled. & I somehow always have 2-3 people in the back and on a rare occasion 4. It's always a battle between them for who gets stuck with the center seat lol.
I have three small kids - I leave the armrest UP as I put all three in the back.
I agree.. for adults the rear center seat is useless...but for small kids, they fit three across. the TL is not our primary family car..we have an MDX for that..but we often use the TL for shorter trips to keep the mileage off the MDX...
