Just watched it, interesting, although I would have liked to see the TL on the track some more and had them try and get some good exhaust sounds. They didn't go too in depth with anything, if I didn't own the car, I would probably have been more interested in the review.

They had nothing but positive things to say about the car. The whole thing was pretty much "pro-TL". Those of you who own one can feel safe in watching it if you recorded it.
But my only question was : They said it was a 2011 TL. So no grill change for 2011? Or did someone blunder?
*EDIT* : Nevermind. I forgot the 2012 is probably what's coming out early next year (right?).

Here's my take on the show while I watch it, pardon the spelling errors:
Dario Marino Franchitti LOVES the styling, mentioned it looks futuristic and stands out from other cars on the road. He mentioned he first say the car when Mario Andretti drove up in his at one of the races, Andretti has an Acura TL SH-AWD, sweet. Both love the GRILLE! A cracker looking car, guess that's Scottish for hot!
The love the SH-AWD and are feeling it...random notes; TK is feeling it. 80lbs difference between manual and AT. They spoke about manuals being rare and the diminishing art of heel and toe. TK(Tommy Kendall) loves the Japanese nomenclature SH-AWD and how the system performs, so does Dario. They are putting it to test, Mario likes it a lot and is enjoying the handling. They're rolling on19" HPT's, A 4 seater .976 g's turning left, .97 right
it gets almost a full g-lateral, these dudes are rolling in the TL's. Mario likes the brakes...oh they like the 3.7 engine, 305 hp 273lb ft. of torque, more top end power, more torque better mileage. the best of 3 worlds.
What I'm hearing from the pros...not sure about the cats at MT and other pub's anymore...well actually haven't been impressed with them in years. But when the guys who use the tools of their industry are impressed with a mass production tool it goes a looong way with me and I was feeling my car was an excellent choice before and this puts a stamp on it.
Morgan Murphy is next: The styling he LOVES it, makes a rather cool Darth Vader reference, " What Darth Vader would use on his commute to the death star."
Spoke on the humidity control feature in the car, Nashville is appealing to me. He said the seats were incredible, loves the stitching. The TL looks hot rolling downtown. He likes the audio systems functionality in the car. He is feeling the modern brush metal...save the trees for the Forrest, I personally think wood is a bit over done in performance cars. Compared the TL SH-AWD to Johnny Cash, "The Man In Black!"
Damn my Samsung HDTV projects a hellafied picture, oh yeah my summation. Makes me wonder if this review hit and was seen more before the nay sayers of these crazy pub's how the car would be received and viewed.
What's nuts is mostly everything that I was feeling they are too. I just got a call from two friends saying they saw my car on TV and it's hot. Video of the car on various roads makes me wanna jump in mine and roll...
I's late, I've put in a 16 hr day and this post may be a bit disjointed, but hopefully helpful. Deuces.

PCH, Here I Come!!
Drove the TL inland, San Diego, to get to my favorite Casino.. Lots of winding roads.. But after my wife and I saw the Speed TV Show tonight, we are heading from San Diego up to Newport Beach on PCH, Pacific Coast Highway, on Sunday. This car is just HOT.
My wife has a 2009 TSX, and has only driven my 2010 SH-AWD TL once in 6 Months.. She just likes the smaller feel of the TSX, fine with me.. But after the show tonight, she turned to me and said this " You Want To Trade"... We are both 62, so I said to her, "Are You Strong Enough To Steer It" ?
I guess I am sleeping on the couch tonight!!

Awesome videos..... however, I disagree with the brakes being great. They could be a lot better, but its nothing a BBK couldnt take care of.

Thanks for the links for the videos!
I have had my car for 2 months now. Apart from the issues with the rattles (which have been fixed and hopefully will not come back!), I love my car. I understand about the controversy with the grille, but it does not bother me and I love how it stands out too! Yes, the front overhang is a bit much but the rest of the styling is great. I have no idea why people complain so much about the styling!!! Also, the interior is just wonderful. People also complain about the console and the number of buttons there - sure there are many and they may seem confusing to start with, but after a day, they all make sense and are so easy to use!!! OK, so Audi and BMW don't have those buttons but that's because their functionalities are all hidden by their complex computer interace!!! Rather, with the TL, I can just find the button and use the functions right away. What's not good about that???
Then most importantly, it has a great ride. And the gas mileage is decent too!
Hopefully, there will be more and more positive reviews like this, and finally people will come round and the TL will become a sleeper hit.

MT, R&T, C&D and other pub's are funded by other car manufactures via paid advertisement.

I've watched several of these "SPEED Test Drive" episodes. They never compare to the competition and they never have complaints. I'd put this in the category of "automotive puff piece". It's entertaining to watch, but not informative from a comparison sense.
After they did the "jump" off the apron, I wonder if they started hearing a rattle from a bad weld?
