Tell me about it. Insurance was surprisingly generous with aftermarket parts though. Luckily I saved most of my receipts. I had about 3K of aftermarket parts including RPF-1's (3 of 4 which were bent due to the curb I hit), Jpipe, catback, HFPC's, lightweight crank pulley, 3.7 magnesium throttle body, port and polished runners, CAI and aftermarket seats. They paid out an extra $1800 total for what I put in. I'm grateful enough for that. I was tempted to see if I could work out some sort of deal to remove them but I didn't have any of the original equipment which sort of made it a deal killer.

But live and learn. I pulled a stupid stunt and I paid for it. The more I think about it the more it pisses me off.

I remember when you told us. I'm also guilty of stupid stunts and wrecking my car, although it was never totaled

I installed my BC coils about a month previous and naturally they made a huge difference in the way the car handled. They pretty much eliminated any body roll allowing the car to easily drift (which was a ton of fun in empty parking lots ). My tires were practically bald however, and when I took a turn too sharp and too fast I ended up jumping the curb into a taco bell, smashing into two cars in the drive thru and knocking over the menu order kiosk. In hindsight it was pretty epic. I still take crap from my coworkers and kids about it, especially when we stop at a taco bell. Two cops showed up and deliberated on citing me for wreckless driving. Luckily one of them was pretty chill and decided on only citing for an "improper left turn" which isn't considered a major traffic offense. Wreckless driving would have driven my insurance rates through the roof.

I think you meant "reckless" driving. Wreckless driving was the exact opposite of what you were doing.

Definitely sounds pretty damn reckless to me.. You were lucky you nor the other two cars weren't hurt severely. If i were in one of the other two cars, you would have heard from my lawyer big time.. Especially if I heard you didn't even get a reckless driving ticket

I don't disagree. It was a mercy on all counts. The good news, if there is any, is that both of the cars were old/cheap and no one was hurt. The most expensive part of the claim was the taco bell menu.

I most definitely learned my lesson. In fact, I'm leery of swapping out the stock suspension in fear that I'll take advantage of the better handling again. Ever since that event I take corners like an old lady. The 4th gen suspension is pretty decent but the wheel gap is
