It is ugly

The power steering is over assisted

The automatic transmission isnt very good

It gives pitiful MPG

It actually turns out to be slower than a 3G

It costs about as much as a 328i (which is faster, btw)


I love Acura's (had 2 3G's) and them looking the way they do has completely turned me off to the brand. There is no modesty in them anymore and when they decide to shout, it is a whimper.

BTW: Did i mention it is hugely ugly?

Okay, the fact is that we can argue for the next millennia and it still wouldnt detract from the fact the it's grown bigger, more expensive and unsavoury to look at.

I adored the last one because it was much cheaper and had more value than the competition and you couldnt quantify the extra money you spent on anything other than emotional preferences.

Supposedly the SH-AWD is as fast as the 3G Type-S AT, so this statement isn't very accurate. Anyway, what kind of responses did you expect given your incendiary thread title and initial post?

Yeah this is a pointless thread by the OP. The 4G TL is a legitimate alternative to the Germans and other Japanese lux car companies. If I were in the market for a new car, it would be top of my list. I think it has rugged good looks. It handles competently. The interior is well appointed with class leading technology. It is relatively affordable for the amenities offered. Those are some reasons why people bought.
