So I Finally Got My Six Speed!
I'm a happy guy. I started shopping in the beginning of November. I wanted a 2010 manual, but none were found.
Some autos but no manuals. My dealer is Heart Acura in Wappingers Falls NY, about 75 miles north of NYC. My dealer pegged one that was headed someplace else. I picked it up on Dec. 30, and I have to say it's everything I hoped it would be.
I traded my '08 Accord V6L coupe. The 4G feels like a tank in comparison. In a good way, of course. Very solid. With a 600 page owners' manual and nearly 200 pages of navi instructions, it can be a little intimidating. Feature-wise, it's a bit of overkill, so I'll take some time and learn a little at a time.
The shifter is worlds better than the Accord. Not quite the short throw that my S2000 was, but it has a nice direct feel.
Breaking it in in the middle of winter is not ideal, but in the few days I've had it, I already love the feel of it. I know it's going to be big fun. Thanks to all of you for the good advice and interesting reading. You have a great resource here.
I'm looking forward to the spring and some of those great roads around Bear Mountain!

2010 TL AWD 6MT: New King
Welcome to the exclusive 6MT club!
The car is pretty awesome and surefooted in the snow. Not sure if Bear Mountain has ski trails, but that would be a nice drive to test out the SH-AWD.

Thanks everyone. Yes, they all do look the same. Mine already looks terrible because of all the crap on the winter roads. Right now, it's 14 degrees and no end in sight for the cold. I'm waiting for above freezing temps so I can at least rinse it off. I'm against commercial car washes especially this time of year. Since they recycle the water, it's like spraying your car with salt water. I'm looking forward to warmer weather and breaking out the Zaino!
Black is a tough color especially in winter.

I too picked up a 2010 shawd 6 mt tech on dec 31... I traded my 07 tl automatic on it.
Mine had to be brought in from a city 3 hours away and is palladium metallic.
You guys need to enjoy the 6mt while you can, Acura isn't selling them in Canada for 2011... Sales manager said that they sold 7 or 8 6mt's in 2010.
