Smacked A Deer

Hit a deer in my 4G TL SH-AWD. Over $900.00 in damage to front end. Here is a video, shot with DOD F500 LHD Dash Cam.

This could have been a whole lot worse had you not slammed on the brakes

Yep. No way to avoid hitting it. The Doe got up like it was nothing, "That's all you got..Ha Ha Ha.. "and took off. Lots of deer where I live. The Doe would had made it accross had it not tripped.

Thanks for sharing this video and camera details. I have thinking about a camera to install on car for insurance purposes.

Hopfully they can remove the deer crossing signs so this doesn't happen again.

$900 in front-end damage after hitting a deer is considered not expensive, when compared to the $2500 front-end damage after a RLX hits a smallish rabbit.

No pix. Car in Bodyshop. The front fascia paint was cracked and has deer hair within the crack, so it's being repainted. Busted Left Turn/Parking Light Lens, broken mounting brackets, cracked Passenger Side Fog Light, part of Splash Shield missing on bottom of fascia.

The HIDs took a whack, as they are out of alignment so the Lens once removed will be inspected for any damage. The damage does not look bad but a little love tap cost a little. The fascia is out of alignment, along with headlight, so Fit and Trim will have to be performed, along with headlght adjustment.
