Slight Bumper Bruise? Please Help!!
Slight Bumper Bruise? Please Help!!
Just had my car 5 days now - and a civic backing up bumped into my rear bumper..slowly, but loud enough for me to hear it and come over.
It was dark, so based on what I could see, there is no scratch or any rough spot when running my hand, but I think theres a slight brownish penny size or less mark right in the centre of the bumper where the curve is.
I will look in the morning - but is there ANY way to just get the mark out? Its more a bumper bruise, not paint at all from the other car.
I got White Diamond Pearl so I am hoping I can get it out. But the person was nice and said they would pay for any repair, but if I can just get it out then I wont bother them.
Any thoughts or help please!!!

I would start out very slowly and cautiously with some swirl remover and see if that works. A random orbital polisher also works great in getting scratches and blemishes out fast. I personally use this along with some machine polish pastes from Griots Garage. If it's a deep scratch, you can using some rubbing compound but be very careful with it as it can cause some damage if you're careless. If all else fails, let your body shop guys take care of it.
