SHAWD saved my life

So on november 21 the day before Thankgiving we had a local NYC meet for bronx and westchester members, a few members showed up and had a good time and decided to go home early because i had been up since 5:00 AM. On my way home i took the Cross county west towards the Sawmill Parkway south heading towards the bronx, so i stayed on the left lane and waited for my exit. i was maybe doing like 65 and anyone who drives on the Sawmill knows how fucking dark thar Parkway is, so out of nowhere i see a 3g standing there no flashing lights no hazzard lights no nothing, just 2 guys standing there waving light crazy. I emediatly step on the brakes swirb right to avoid a colition then had to turn the steering left to avoid other cars on the right 2 lanes, the car started to almost go into a tail spin and the SHAWD sytem started corrected the the car enogh where i could keep her straight. I was nervous as shit because this all happened like in 2 to 3 seconds, How amazing is the AWD system that Acura uses, Acura has to have the best AWD systed available in the market, no wonder they call it Supper Handling All Wheel Drive. One thing is for sure In SHAWD i Trust and it saved my life.

Good thing you are ok, the car does some pretty cool things in those situations. I generally avoid the Saw Mill whenever possible, it's the worst, too many stories like this one but usually far worse. Drive safe.

It's becasue of things like this .... unexpected circumstances .... that I always say you should leave your VSA-type systems on during normal driving. People that turn these systems off are removing tools that can save their ass in situations like this.

I was messing with a buddy of mine in a new 5.0. We left a light on a damp night a couple weeks ago and the TL pulled away like a champ. The new mustang is faster but it's fun to rag on him for getting walked.

I can't wait to try out my mdx on the way to my parents house in a couple weeks.

One thing is for sure ill stay away from that strerch of the parkway, its fairly dark from the cross county to the beginning of the henry Hudsond Pkwy. I believe that from the Saw mill to the henry Hudson there is going to be allot more accidents due to the Toll being removed on the henry, I mean from my house to midtown ill get there like in 12 minutes and other people will do the same.

I never permanentely remove the VSA for this same exact reason, dont get me wrong i had a little fun in the snow the other day with the VSA off and i was testing to see how it works, it worked and i put VSA back on.

If the car was about to make a tail-spin, it was actually the VSA that saved your car, not the SH-AWD.

Indeed, if you were on the brakes, AWD had no part in this.

Glad you're OK and the other safety systems in the car did their part
