SH-AWD Stock Fog Light Bulbs
Anyone know if the stock fog light bulbs are halogen or incandescent?
I recently replaced them with these halogens: http://www.buyheadlightbulbs.com/Lum...-p/lw-h11f.htm
... and noticed they were pretty hot when turned on. Did I just replace stock OEM bulbs that were incandescent with halogens? If so, should I be concerned about possibly melting plastic housing or lens?

The OEM's are halogen. However, I noticed the ones you bought are 55w...that may be your problem. I replaced my OEM's with HID's and went with 35w (as have many others on the boards) to avoid overheating. Unfortunately I don't know what the OEM wattage is. I know the site you bought them from says 55w is OEM but not sure how reliable that is.
On a side note... I bought the 9005 model of those bulbs for my DRL / high beams and was very unhappy with the output. My high beams were basically non-existent. I've since removed them and it just confirmed the OEM bulbs are much better.

Halogen bulbs are incandescent bulbs. Stock are 55W.
Wattage in HID has nothing to do with wattage of incandescent bulbs. Ultimately, its power draw. In incandescent bulbs, its often equated to light output. HIDs will have lower wattage with higher light output.
Edited to add: Some of the "HID Look" incandescent bulbs get a lot hotter than stock ones, they give out more heat and actually less light, in order to maintain the wattage at a different color temperature.

Yeah Acura design spec for OEM fog bulbs are 12V-55W H11. Good to know OEM are also halogens... because halogens are way hotter than incandescent.
