I've never seen anybody asking about this...but
Does SH-AWD works the same in forward and in reverse mode ? (Auto and 6MT)

I'm interested in this for snow or slipery conditions...

 

That's actually a pretty interesting question. I'd bet "not" just based on the fact that it's not a rally car and the rear diff is tied into a bunch of sensors - all of which probably haven't been designed to work much in reverse.

Easy, safe way to find out is to find yourself a 2-wheel dyno and put either the front or rear axle on the rollers and try to reverse off of them.

 

well the auto trannies have a reverse gear ratio of 1.89 while for some reason the manual has 3.66

i wanna see the manual in full reverse vs an auto forward, seems like it would win for a quick second
