SH-AWD really does what name implies
So I took my TL on a Texas regional meet this weekend. We had a 2hr-ish route planned with lots of twisties and hills through central/south central texas back country roads. I was the only 4G there as I expected. There were lots of CL's and 3G tl's. This is the first time I really pushed the cornering limits of my car. I do have H&R sport springs and michelin pilot sport A/S tires on 20" RJ Harrows so handleing was slightly augmented by aftermarket parts. After taking the first leg of the route and taking quite a few decreasing radius turns, I was approached by a CL driver who was very impressed and admitted to having a very difficult time keeping up with me and had to take turns much slower and wider. Pretty impressive for a 4000 lb vehicle. I must admit this car is truley something exceptional! It truely shines when pushed to the limit and handles like a MUCH smaller vehicle. Several times the other Acuras had a difficult time keeping up with me in the corners. I've owned my car for over a year now and have never been more pleased with it. It's a shame that it took me this long to actually see what the SH-AWD was about!!

It was a blast, thats the first time I let myself go a lil wild driving. Usually I am a by the book speed limit kinda guy. Texas is a fun place, I'm really starting to like it down here. I'm looking forward to the next meet.

Hopefully next time there will be more 4g participants.
I posted a video in another thread of the SH-AWD taking a corner at high speed. Would love to see more.

You tell a difference as far as a stiffer suspension and a more agressive and direct feel of the road. But other than that you really only appreciate the AWD during rain, snow, or agressive driving. As far as a daily commute the FWD feels more floaty, but I still prefer the AWD's sportiness.

Sounds like a great drive, wish I could have been there. I had the chance to drive the AWD M/T last week and was really surprised at how well it stuck when on throttle in tight corners. Almost better than my buddies SC Mini.
