Seat cleaning

I am not sure if there is a separate thread area for things like cleaning and detailing but I figured I would start here. We have the light colored beige interior on my wife's TL Tech and I have found that the seats pretty quickly look like they get a dark film on them, particularly the textured side pieces (rather than the smoother perforated center pieces). It almost looks like wearing jeans or other dark colored clothing ends up transferring the color to the seats. The texture on the "leather" makes it difficult to completely remove this.

Has anyone else noticed this and, if so, are there any products that work well to remove existing dingy areas and then protect? I have tried a variety of products with limited success.

Thanks.

The dark spots that you are speaking about is transfer from your jeans. Here is a thread on it http://www.detailedimage.com/Ask-a-P...roduct-review/

Maybe I will try that Leatherique stuff. It seems that the tiny texturing on the seats in the TL is more prone to holding onto dirt and discoloration than other cars I have owned.

is it safe to put woolite on the leather? i've been using Meguiar's leather conditioner and it seems to do a good job...but this leatherique stuff sounds interesting.

if the detail guys use leatherique... that's a pretty good endorsement
