Rotors / Pads Recommendation

What do fine folks prefer?

I've used Detroit Axle (ebay) in past with success. But with my newer model TL, wondering if something better is recommended. Also, drilled and slotted is best, correct?

Thanks!

Cheers from Vegas!

do you want better stopping power or are you fine with factory? Cross-drilled does nothing for street cars, slotted makes sure your pads are always clean but cut the life of pads in 1/2.

With that said, I use EBC Brakes on my 4G TL, MDX and 3G TL and love them. 4G TL and MDX have the Yellow EBC's which are more aggressive than the red ones, but dust a lot more. 3G TL has red's on the front (they dust but 1/2 as much as the yellow), and I put akebono's on the rear.

Red braking power is better than factory but there will best dust so beware!

I used to use racingbrake but they got very expensive so I switched to EBC. Still expensive but worth it when stopping 1-ft shorter matter a lot.

I used a powerstop KOE brake & rotor kit from rockauto recently on my '05 RL. Overall, I'm happy with it, but I do notice more brake dust on the wheels compared to previous ones I used. I didn't get the drilled ones.
