Still no timetable for the grill and the front lip...?
Although both of the RJ front lip are superb nicer than the acura's front lip,
I'll choose the front lip of the first picture. Look more detail and aggressive.
The 4G TL for sure for sure will look more gorgeous with this front lip!!!

This is my first post on this forum, and I'm not yet a TL owner, but I just started my deployment in Iraq with the intention of saving up for the TL SH-AWD with a six-speed.
I've blown tons of money souping up a 1998 Honda Prelude but after a while, my wife told me that the money I was spending per month on repairs or new aftermarket parts was equal to that of a new car payment. So after looking around at models I might be intersted in (I'm actually quite a bookworm when it comes to knowing all kinds of informations on any makes or models of cars), I happened to fall in love with the TL and knew it was meant to be when I read of the upcoming launch of the six-speed.
Of course, the 4th gen TL and my 5th gen Prelude have something in common, which is the love-it-or-hate-it front ends (as well as they both have ATTS!
).
This leads me to why I originally posted this up, because when I saw the RonJon front grille, I knew I could turn this into the car of my dreams with no regret. I may very well purchase this front grille (whenever it comes out that is) before I even buy the car!
I also plan on doing a couple performance minded things to the TL after I buy it, but I will never get as carried away with spending as I did with the Prelude. However, I encourage RonJon to keep up with the development of this and other items for the TL, it will be worth it!
If anyone cares, here is a link to my build-up history on another forum. It's 9 pages long and chock full of photos and a detailed and suspenseful story about how it all came together: http://www.preludeonline.com/f82/bes...-world-237309/

Thanks man! I've got a full year left, so I plan on test-driving the TL for my mid-tour leave and then purchasing it when I come home. I am looking for the manual transmission with pearl white with the umber interior. I just don't know if it's cheaper to custom order this from a dealer or from Acura.com itself?
And to keep this on-topic, I'd like to know if anyone can tell me which black wheels are pictured in the RonJon picture of the their grille concept on the silver as posted in their first post.

Hi Ron,
I'd like to see a rear lip kit (or even bumper) that is as clean and nice as the front but not the multi-piece pic I saw somewhere else similar to the older mugen prelude rear. I think the 4g has the worse lip kit of them all.
Your concept kit is the only way I could see myself pleased with a 4g, those wheels with that drop on the second pic is sexy.

Looks absolutely great, would seriously put the TL on my "next to get" list of candidates
....its just a shame you can spend $35,000+ for a car & have to kick in another $2K or so to correct the original designers mistakes.
