Are there LCD display’s available for 2012 TL’s that can replace the factory monochrome ones in the base models? I found a solution Accord owners use called a “81acrd” unit. They come under various manufacturers and have different model #s based on company you buy it from but it appears to be a factory fit display & shroud that retains factory steering wheel controls and climate control. The unit itself is a display along with a Windows CE machine, allowing it to run videos, GPS, and AV out for backup cameras and/or DVD players. It piggybacks off the factory radio. Overall the unit keeps a stock OEM look & stock controls with plug & play installation. Some TSX owners report that dissecting the unit & installing it in a shroud that fits the TSX will allow the unit to work on their vehicles also. I can’t find any units for sale any more but I was wondering if there are color LCD displays out there that fit the same place as the stock ones and can cut the video to a backup camera feed when powered. If not, do Honda Accords & Acura TLs have the same plugs & wiring? I tried researching before posting & there’s a slight chance the databus on Acura’s are different but I can’t confirm that.
