Remove rear seat with headrests up?

Is it possible to remove the rear seat with the headrests up? I'm having my coilovers installed next weekend and need to make sure.

The buttons on both the headrests in the rear fell out and I can't lower them. If they need to be down, I will need to order those buttons and have them expedited in time for my coilover install.

Thanks in advance.

you should be fine, may be a bit more of a hassle getting your seatbelts back in line but otherwise you should be good

how did the buttons fall out?!

Thanks.

One of them was out for some time. I had this part, but I had no idea what it was until I searched around on here and in the car and finally figured it out. The other one just popped out when I was putting the headrest up one day.

I have read here that it is not an uncommon occurrence.

when I bought mine a couple months ago, both the buttons were missing. There is a service bulletin related to this common issue, so dealership should fix under warranty (did for me). Apparently it's related to high heat.

Is this warranty service even when the vehicle is out of warranty? In reality, they are only a couple bucks a piece and may not be worth the hassle of checking the car in, etc.

I did notice there is a reference to a tool required for installation in the TSB, though.

It was done under warranty for me... however I noticed it a day after picking it up. So whether they did me a "favour" I don't know...
But yeah, they took it in, gave me a loaner overnight and I picked it up the next day haha. Pretty ridiculous for a couple of buttons.
