I have a 2013 TL Tech with the 3.5 V6 ---- how much total refrigerant (in pounds) does our a/c system hold (total capacity)?

The Service Manual says

Refrigerant Capacity:
500 - 550 g (17.6 - 19.4 oz)
0.50 - 0.55 kg
1.1 - 1.2 lbs

Unless you have the means to evacuate the system, best to recharge based on pressures.
