Rear Seat Cover

I'm thinking of purchasing the Rear Seat Cover for my 2012 TL and installing it myself. Dealer wanted $350 but I can get it for half that and install it myself.
Anyone have one or install it?

My 2009 CPO came with one. It did not come with the headrest covers, but I was still glad it was part of the used car. Installing the cover is not difficult at all. I followed these instructions and I was able to put it on in about 10 mins my first time installing it:

I only install my rear seat cover if I know I am going to load the rear seat with stuff like tools that will not fit in the trunk. Otherwise, I leave the cover off and stored in my garage. If I ever have kids, I may install it permanently.

Congrats on your first one on the way! I think you will be very happy with the rear seat cover. It conforms to the seat nicely, and it holds in place pretty well because of the contact/attachment points around the edges of the seat. It's also made of pretty thick material and is easy to wipe down with a towel.

Dealer installed parts are typically a scam. I've not run in to an instance yet where a gorilla couldn't do these dealer installs with the instructions that come with the parts. Do it yourself and save the $.
