Rear Passenger and Rear Windshield Shades

Coming from the Acura RL, have you ever thought about the 4G TL should have added rear passenger and rear windshield shades like how the RL have?

I sure do miss them. I think the TL should have at least had the power rear shade. The Lexus GS has it.

Yes...I think they should since it is a mid class luxury sedan.

I would almost bet that the 5G TL will have it...

for those who know the brand well, its obvious what Acura is trying to do... they are trying to move up all their cars a class

a couple years ago

RL = 5 Series / E Class / Lexus GS / Audi A6
TL = 3 Series / C Class / Lexus ES / Audi A4

the goal is to have the

RL = 7 Series / S Class / Lexus LS / Audi A8
TL = 5 Series / E Class / Lexus GS / Audi A6
TSX=3 Series / C Class / Lexus IS / Audi A4

Just my

Also, my 06 TL fully loaded had a $36k MSRP... a 2012 TL fully loaded runs a staggering $46k MSRP... you can actually accessorize a 2012 TL to OVER $50k

i just cant wait to see the 3G RL-- if the day ever comes

You beat me to it. Friend got a new Maxima and that thing has most of the same features of the TL plus the shade, vented seats, adjustable front seat leg bolster, adjustable angle brackets in backup camera, heated steering wheel, auto tilt telescope steering wheel adjustments that can be programmed into each key fob, and 60/40 split rear.

All this at MSRP ~$37k. This is cheaper than the top of the line TL. I think Honda/Acura needs to step it up a bit

Absolutely!! I drove my sisters 2006 MB C280 and it had it along with a button that drops the rear headrest if you want them down with having to manually have to do it. What's up with that TL?

Short comings for sure, (and believe me, I certainly do miss some of those nice features that I enjoyed in my '06 RL) but the TL is still a pretty sweet car.

If you do check out the power rear sunshade, the manual rear door sunshades, the power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, the lighted outside door handles, the power down rear headrests, the ANC (active noise cancellation, which incidentally is in the Accord Crosstour, just to name a few.

^ our cars should have any ANC... my 2008 TL Type-S did (i remember having to disconnect it for my amp & subs)

i never checked if the 4Gs did (dont need aftermarket subs in this car ), but i would imagine they do

If they do, the mics aren't visible anywhere.

Sorry guys haven't drink my coffee yet but what is the rear passenger option??? Clueless!!

I wish the RL has the option to incline the rear seats. My co-worker has that option on his 09 Toyota Camry. I know the Toyota Avalon has that standard. If Acura made the RL on their luxury line and they have rear shades and manual shades on the side windows why they didn't add this option.
