Rear differential fluid overfill
Rear differential fluid overfill
Hi, owner of a 2013 TL SH-AWD here.
I was changing out my rear differential fluid today and ended up putting back in just about a full 3 quarts of the DPSF fluid. I believe the capacity is supposed to be ~2.6 qts. I was keeping my eye on the fill hole but didn't see any spill out, so I kept pumping fluid and before I knew it, I had basically put in the full 3 qts.
No leaks or other issues noted yet, but anyone know if this will be a problem in the future? Would you recommend letting out some of the excess fluid, or redoing the fluid change entirely?
Thanks for any advice!
