Well, I got it done. I went with Suntek CXP 35% on the side windows and 20% on the year. I'm a little past the legal limit on the front windows, but in Ohio you can put whatever you want on the other three.

I'm considering putting the Lumar Air 80 on the front, but was concerned about the rainbow effect when wearing polarized sunglasses. Anyone have any experience with this? I'll put better pictures up once I can dry off my car after the storm on the way home from having the windows done. The lighting isn't great on these pics, but I'll have more up soon.

that looks real nice, cant really tell the difference between the front and back with those pics you took. just remember to open the sun roof if you feel like a cop is looking your way to get more light in and to make it look lighter.

I should have said, I have 35% on all four side windows and 20% on the back window. Thanks for the tip! I'll remember that. Here are more pics.

Thanks. I'm happy with it. Thinking about doing the windshield with the Llumar Air 80, but not sure about the rainbow effect with my polarized sunglasses.

I have Llumar 80s on the driver/passenger side windows and I can tell you I do see rainbows with my polarized sunglasses. Not a big deal out of the sides, and the effect is less than I've seen with other films, but definitely there. If I were to see it all the time in front of me, I'm not sure I could handle that. YMMV.

I can definitely vouch for the Llumar's UV, IR and heat rejection though.

I know I couldn't handle it. One could argue that polarized glasses wouldn't be needed in the car after tinting the windows, but then I'd have to have different glasses for driving and outdoor activities. I already manage reading glasses and several pair of sunglasses.

I held a piece of it up today and could definitely see the rainbow, but wasn't sure if it would be different after being applied to the windshield. I could also feel the reduction in heat on my face when holding it in front of the sun. The benefits are there, but the disadvantages may outweigh them for the windshield application.

Agreed Hogan. I settled on not putting it on the windshield, and since I don't do much driving (less than 9K miles a year) I think the UV protection from the sides and the built-in UV protection in the glass (Acura advertises that there is some but isn't specific about percentages) will have to do. Then I bought a HeatShield custom fit sun shade from Amazon so that when I park I'll put that up to protect the dash and leather from the elements. At all other times it will be parked in an underground garage.

Very clean Doug! Here's a pic of my Llumar Air Blue 80 fronts and 15% 3M performance rear windows, I realize it's not the greatest angle. When I take it out next weekend I'll try to remember to take a better pic.

I have 35% on front and back and its perfect. Tint also reflects off interrior, so the darker your interior is the lighter i would go to keep trouble away.

Can anyone elaborate how to remove the 3rd brake light on a 4G TL? I want to take my car back to get the rear window re-tinted and I want to remove the brake light for the tinter since he obviously didn't know how to remove it and he tinted around it.

Appreciate the pictures of the tints. I'm getting mine done tomorrow and have been debating on what % to go with. I was thinking of 35 in the back but I might go a little darker now. Supposedly here in BC there shouldn't be any tint at all on the front sides, but I'm thinking of doing them but to a lesser extent - what's a reasonable amount in people's opinion? I assume something like 50-70 is safe? Will post some pics after.
