Question on DRLs

I want to replace the stock DRLs bulbs to eliminate the yellowish color. From what I read, the DRL system runs off a low voltage. Is this the reason why the bulbs look yellowish? And if so, what should I be looking for in a replacement bulb so that the DRL give off a whiter color? I tried ordering 9005 replacement bulbs from Luminics directly but they have been impossible to get in touch with for over a week now so I'm looking for another replacement. I'm thinking about just going over to the local auto parts store and picking up Silvertars.

Thanks.

here's a link to a thread started by another member here. if you use the search feature you could have found this thread.

another option is to disable the DRL altogether by pulling the fuse. this way you don't have the yellow color and still have full high beam output.

I've read that thread in the past and don't see where it addresses my question.

Not sure if you found any solutions yet but i just installed the led drl for my 2012 TL, no error code, and no flickering. The color is close to hid, just not as bright like hid. I got them from ijdmtoy.com for $66.99 as a kit.

I installed the Luminics bulbs with no problem. I purchased them on Ebay - easy. Looks Great!

Wound up with the Lumincs. Improvement over stock for DRL purposes but shit for high beams. Maybe I'll try those LEDs eventually or just pull the fuse for the DRLs like was mentioned.
