Question about 2012 Auto S mode

Question about 2012 Auto S mode

Hello everyone, Im currently in the market for a 2012 acura tl Sh-awd 6 Speed auto, My main question is how does the S mode work on the Tl, if any of you have driven the G37 is it similar to it, i just want to know how it feels when driving because i havent had a chance to test drive one yet, Thanks in Advance

It puts your shift points higher and never goes into 6th gear. You get some engine braking because of that too. I like using it sometimes in stop and go traffic because it just feels better.
Once you hit the paddles in S mode you move to (almost)fully manual

Love putting the TL in S once in a while for fun. If you have it in S and don't touch the paddles it will hold the gear much higher before it shift.

I keep it in S most of the time for non-hussy driving. I find it prevents lugging at 1200-1500 rpms.
