Purchased used '13 TL w/ 8K miles

Hi Guys
New member here and just traded in my '13 Honda Insight for a TL. It's my first Acura and coming from nothing but Hondas. The TL came off a lease and was owned by a 61 year old guy from NY (found his info in the glove box and googled his name &#128521 no oil change in the carfax report during the 3 years and was only done when the Honda dealership received the vehicle. It's a dream to drive, super smooth and the interior is immaculate. Is there anything I should be concerned about or should get serviced with 8000 miles?
Thanks in advance
Jake

Wow, that's not very many miles.

I'd recommend flushing the brake fluid and start winter with a thorough paint treatment (clay, sealant, wax, etc).

Thank you. The dealership already detailed the car. Should I change the oil again just to be safe? Maybe switch to synthetic

Picked up a CPO 2013 FWD Tech with 8,200 miles in August. Car still smelled new. Up to 11,000 miles now and runs great. We've owned a 2G, 3G and now have a 4G TL. Great cars, enjoy it.

that's awesome and I agree they drive nice. Mine is not CPO but still have 6 months left bumper to bumper warranty and 2 years in powertrain.

Fluids like oil should be change according to mileage or age. If the car has gone 3 years on the original oil I would change it. Not a big expense any ways. That goes for coolant as well down the road you will needd to change reguardless of mileage.

I just bought a 2012 with 29K miles on it. Red as a matter of fact. Except for oil yours shouldn't need anything, go put some miles on it.

Congrats on the TL, only 8K miles, that's awesome...

A lot of times oil changes wouldn't show up on a Carfax. IMO even though the Honda dealer claims to have changed the oil, I would change it over the next 1,000 miles.. IMO cheap insurance so that you know there is fresh oil in there before the winter..

If you decide to have the oil changed go to an Acura dealer. IMO although it may cost more a little more, it may be worth it because while you're there you can ask the service advisor to run a service history report for you. And you can also make sure the airbag recall was performed and also find out if the trans had the latest software update installed.

Lol, the dealership's definition of "detail" is not what you think. I'd still get a good detail from a professional.

congrats and welcome... Just check to see if the driver airbag was replaced and if it was on the list of a software update for the transmission. But yet again the car is new when you get to a certain miles just pay attention to the shift and recall info on the acura website so you can do any necessary service. Enjoy
