Time cop its quite easy to de-badge, before I did my car I watched some YouTube vids on it. Here's a brief summary of what you need and what I did:
Dental floss, hair blower (and extension cord), wd-40, goo gone, soft non abrasive wash cloth and a non rainy day (better if warm).
Heat up the badges with the hair blower.
Put floss underneath the cover of heated badged and saw you way with the floss left to right. Do not attempt to pull off the badge with floss.
Once you take off badge slowly put goo gone on remaining adhesive.
Rub off remaining adhesive with was cloth.
Polish area you removed badge from with wd-40 + clean portion of wash cloth.
Was really easy and came out flawless; that was on a 2009 with 40k miles, your badges adhesive prob hasen't even settled =P

heres a better way,
get hot water, pour it on the emblem to soften up the adhesive then run your floss through it, much easier and faster process,
then use goo gone and a microfiber to remove it.

not boiling hot but hot enough where even you cant stick your fingers in it..
dont worry, it wont damage the paint or anything, also this is how you remove bird poop.. use hot water, never use cold water to remove bird poop, you will scratch your clear coat like that.
run hot water on bird poop till it dissolves,

I'm going to get my windows tinted this week. After that I'll experiment on an old car for de-badging, then do it on mine! I'll be sure to take pics and note how I did it on this thread. I'll try the hot water technique...it sounds like it'll work out fine ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I did have another question, but I feel it may break thread rules on this forum. I'll ask, and if it does, can someone re-direct me to the proper thread.
Since I've owned the car (July 4th 2011), it has only been washed 3 times. Twice from the dealers car wash machine (with their whatever soap) and once hand-washed by myself. When I did it, I didn't use any soap because I was afraid a cheap brand might I dunno leave some type of residue-ish look like the dealer's car wash did.
My question is, what should I use? I have some Turtle ICE Car Wash, but I haven't seen it mentioned much from just browsing around.

2) use a soap specifically for cars. need more info...see "wash and wax" section.
3) hand wash your own car and you'll appreciate and love it even more.

I always use turtle ice wash on my car, it is very gentle on the paint and leaves an incredible shine. It also keeps the car clean for a while.

@TLtrigirl Yeah, they ran it through before they gave it to me. it's apart of their "free car wash" thing...I'll try to stop em ahead of time next time
@HeartTLs About the leather conditioner. My parents have a bottle of Honda Leather Conditioner. Obviously Acura sells the same thing, just with an Acura sticker. Do you think their product will be good to apple to my seats, or should I get a 3rd party product?
@007Acura Good to know. I'll probably wash it sometime next week with what I have then!

if you go back to the dealer for service...first words out of mouth, "PLease do not wash the car. Thanks." then tell them what you want done. i go as far as leaving a note in the car now to remind the tech not to run it through the wash. its noted in my records as well not to wash the car. of course i always take it to them squeaky clean, that way i'll know if any harm has been done (scratches and dents stand out more on a clean car) while the car was with them.
