P2647 Not going away
P2647 Not going away
I have a J-series engine (2012 Acura TL with 131,000 miles). I’ve changed the oil filter, oil, followed by flushing the oil out 1,500 miles later, changed the solenoid, the oil pressure switch and replaced all the spark plugs and still have P2647. What can I do if the VCM or PCM is faulty? Looking at context clues, this CEL came on after my stock Acura battery failed and was corroded. I’ve since changed the battery but yeah still problems. My engine runs fine, just runs rich because of the CEL

Fixed
Finally found the problem and did a temporary fix. The problem was the oil pressure switch connector. During the Covid quarantine the car wasn’t being used much and we’ve recently had a chipmunk problem. It seems that or some other pest chewed off the ground wire to the connector (black and blue wire on the two terminal connector). Just ripped off some spare speaker wire, spliced the ground where it was ripped off and reconnected it by some wire twisting and electrical tape. Code P2647 officially gone. I plan on getting a new connector with the pigtail ties if possible. Anyone know how I can do this job or share a graphical? I have limited car electronic knowledge. Thanks!
