Oil topic, Motul, liqi moly and amsoil
Hi,
Sorry to bring up another oil thread.
However, heard about people saying mobil 1 is not as good as it states and mobil 1 put too much effort on the adds not on the products. then thinking to change oil brand.
I currently am using mobil 1 annual protection/20k, for my 2012 acura fwd and 2017 mazda 6. but change the oil 6k on TL, 8k+ on mazda 6.
I did not have confidence when the the car hit 8k miles on the mazda 6 when using mobil1 annual. that was after changing the breaking oil when car was 3k miles old. I put the mobil 1 annual in and pushed the car a little bit hard(after breaking, tried to see how fast 2.5L can go). and cross a NH winter for 8k miles.
Doing some research on oil brands. Motul and Liqi-moly seem to be used quick often on euro cars. amosoil very good and popular in North America.
Do you guys have any experience on any of these? and compare to Mobil 1 annual protection. what do you guys think?

I've never used Motul or Liqi-moly. I used Mobil 1 Extended Performance but switched to Pennzoil Ultra-Platinum recently and noticed less "darkening" of the oil (which doesn't necessarily mean anything) but more importantly, less oil consumption.
I've contemplated Motul however. It's not too expensive and supposedly used in exotics and racing applications, especially where high-RPM's are common.
